Open Ownership (OO) is a non-profit made up of a multidisciplinary, expert team. We have colleagues in five continents and are well-positioned to support countries implementing beneficial ownership transparency (BOT) and provide thought leadership for the wider policy application of BOT reforms. Our day-to-day management relies on an executive team, which is overseen by an International Advisory Board, comprising experts with a background in beneficial ownership, governance, policy development, digital reforms and research.

OO is fiscally sponsored by Global Impact. Fiscal sponsorship is a common mechanism in the non-profit sector, as it enables organisations to operate in an agile manner by benefiting from a professional suite of support services to ensure compliance and sound financial management. Global Impact is a US nonprofit (501c3), and its executive team and board of directors are shown here.

The International Advisory Board is the senior advisory board for Open Ownership. It provides strategic guidance to maximise the organisation's impact to achieve its mission. It was formed in May 2025 and supercedes the Steering Group that provided external guidance and support to OO until April 2025. Read more about the members of the International Advisory Board.
