Mutale Mukuka is Open Ownership’s Country Programmes Associate. Working closely with the Regional Manager for Africa, Mutale is responsible for supporting our technical delivery to national governments implementing beneficial ownership transparency in Africa, and for sustaining and growing working relationships with other national stakeholders across Africa. Mutale also works closely with the Director of Country Programmes to organize and track Open Ownership's project delivery.
Prior to joining Open Ownership, Mutale worked as Program Officer at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) in Zambia. He was the technical lead focused on enhancing the capacity of observing domestic electoral processes. His main duties included the provision of comprehensive technical assistance and support to enhance electoral cycle oversight and transparency, and the planning and implementation of program activities and public advocacy.
Mutale holds a BA in Development Studies, and as Masters in Political Science and International Relations. Mutale’s interests include playing and watching football (an avid Manchester United fan), reading, and music.
