  • Lebanon has made a legal commitment to transparency in beneficial ownership of companies that own or operate licenses in the extractive sector, through Article 10.7 in its 2018 Law for Enhancing Transparency in the Oil and Gas Sector, which incorporates all EITI requirements into a legally binding document, as part of its 2017 national commitment to join the EITI.
