She leads data analysis initiatives that support the organisation’s strategic goals, from assessing beneficial ownership registers to developing methodologies for efficient data use. She contributes to building integrated data systems, delivers technical assistance, and translates analytical findings into actionable insights, showcasing Open Ownership’s work through global events and international fora.
Maria brings over a decade of experience in academia and international consultancy, including work on multilateral projects and collaborations with global institutions. Her expertise spans crime analysis, risk assessment, and machine learning. She holds a PhD in Business Analytics, a Master’s in Operations Management, and a degree in Industrial Engineering. Now based in Chile, Maria has previously lived in Sydney, Australia, and Milan, Italy.
