Beneficial ownership data analysis reveals coal transportation permits concentrated in related entities linked to public officials and foreign nationals
Journalists analysed coal transport permit data and found that 338 of 4,017 permits were concentrated among 16 related entities, some with a single foreign ultimate beneficial owner. Several permit-holding companies were linked to politically exposed persons, including one accused of abusing their position to obtain permits.
