Nigeria has demonstrated exceptional leadership in corporate transparency by becoming the first country in Africa to establish a comprehensive, publicly accessible, and free Beneficial Ownership Register, following the establishment of a legal framework through the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020. This report provides a comprehensive assessment of Nigeria’s beneficial ownership transparency implementation.
